The Story of Trey Schneider and Biddybomb.com
In the summer of 2014, I remember leaving the office and walking down the side walk towards the train station for the last time. The company I'd been working for failed, and we'd all been laid off. It felt like being punched in the stomach. The company had failed for several reasons, but for the sake of brevity, it lacked the 'wow' factor. I said to myself, if I start a company and if I wanted to avoid future stomach punches, I'd have to make a product that is truly cool. I then set out to create biddybomb.com.
Online auction sites have also been interesting to me. From a technical perspective, I truly enjoyed building the site because the effort demanded all my skills as a software developer and I had a chance to implement cutting edge technologies. Biddybomb.com hopes to reinvigorate the online auction scene with a fresh, new user interface and performant functionality.
On a more personal note, when I'm not managing biddybomb.com and other sites, I try to get some exercise by either running or playing tennis. It's difficult to stay in shape when your sitting on a chair/stool/couch for most of the day. I've seen some friends try to combine both work and exercise via treadmill desks, but in all honesty, I don't think I'm coordinated enough for that.
I hope this little blurb has shed some light on biddybomb.com and myself. Good luck bidding!
